Journals Prompt exists to help people put their thoughts on paper. This page explains who writes our content, how we create and check it, and how we handle mistakes, advertising and affiliate links.

Our purpose

We publish free journaling prompts and short guides across six topics: Emotional Wellness, Daily Routine, Self-Growth & Mindset, Relationships & Life Stages, Spiritual, and Seasonal & Occasions. Our goal is clear, kind prompts that are easy to start and easy to use.

Who writes our content

Every article has a named author with a profile page. We have [three] authors, and each writes in the topics they know best. Author profiles describe real experience only. We never invent credentials, titles or testimonials. See Our authors.

How we create prompts

  1. Choose a topic. We start from what readers actually ask for, such as “journal prompts for anxious mornings”, and check what already exists so we add something useful.
  2. Write the prompts. Authors write each prompt in plain language. We aim for open questions that are specific enough to answer in about five minutes.
  3. Review. A second person reads each collection for clarity, tone, repetition and sensitivity before it goes live.
  4. Publish and maintain. We show an “Updated” date on each post and revisit popular collections regularly.

Sensitive topics and safety

Some prompts touch on emotions, relationships, grief or faith. We:

  • Avoid prompts that push readers to relive painful experiences without care.
  • Keep wording gentle and make clear that readers can skip any prompt.
  • Don’t diagnose, treat or promise outcomes.
  • Link to our Disclaimer, which lists where to find help in a crisis.

Accuracy and sources

Our prompts are creative and reflective, not factual claims. When an article mentions research, journaling methods or health-related information, we link to the original source where possible and describe it carefully. We don’t present opinions as scientific fact.

Originality

Our prompts are written by us. We don’t copy other sites’ collections. If a prompt or idea comes from a named book, method or person, we credit it with a link. See our DMCA page for how to report copying of our work or yours.

How we use AI tools

We may use AI tools to help brainstorm, outline or edit. Every piece is written or substantially revised by a human author, who is responsible for its accuracy and tone, and reviewed by a second person before publication.

Ads and affiliate links help fund the site, but they never decide what we write. Advertisers and affiliate partners have no say over our content, and we don’t accept payment for positive mentions. If we are ever given a product for review or sponsored to write about something, we will say so clearly on that page. Details are in our Affiliate Disclosure.

Corrections and updates

We want our content to be right. If you find an error, an outdated statement or something that feels insensitive, please contact us with the page link. We aim to review reports within [5 business days]. We correct factual mistakes promptly and note significant corrections at the bottom of the post.
